What happened to Graham Nation?
Graham Nation passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 39.
As per the Los Angeles L.A. County Department of Medical Examiner, he passed away at a gym in Los Angeles. The case will be further investigated by the concerned authorities (via PEOPLE).
A few days before his death, Nation shared an update on his Instagram. He revealed that he was working on his first-ever Super Bowl commercial by styling Catherine O’Hara’s hair for the Super Bowl ad of Michelob Ultra. Many of Nation’s colleagues and celebrities took to their social media to mourn his death.
BTC Founder and Creative Director wrote on his X (formerly Twitter), “Graham was one of the kindest, most gentle souls in this business. His talent was unmistakable, his ego was illegible and his time with us unforgettable.” The Wall Group who represented the stylist also opened up on his demise.
“Graham was a one-of-a-kind soul who impacted every single person he met. We are honored to have been part of his journey and to have helped him share his artistry with the world. Our hearts are broken and we will miss him dearly” (via Behind the Chair). Additionally, Antonia Gentry, Joy Corrigan, and Sophia Esperanza paid tributes to Nation on their social media accounts.
As per his biography, Nation was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and pursued his education at the Aveda Institute. He has worked with high-profile clients like Demi Moore, jared Leto, and Simone Ashley, to name a few. His work has also been featured in popular magazines like British Vogue, Elle, and InStyle, and he has collaborated with brands like Fekkai, SexyHair, and others.
Graham Nation is survived by his partner Tonya Brewer and son Romeo West.
