The first photo from the upcoming Jack Ryan movie with John Krasinski has been released.
Krasinski played the titular character in Amazon Prime Video’s Jack Ryan series, which premiered in August 2018 and ran for four seasons. In October 2024, it was announced that a feature film that will serve as a follow-up series is in development.
The Prime Movies X account has now shared the first official photo from the movie while announcing that filming has officially begun. “The next chapter begins. The Jack Ryan Movie currently in production, coming soon,” the post’s caption reads.

Krasinski also shared the photo on his Instagram account with the caption, “So. Good. To be. Back! #JackRyanMovie is off and running!!! HUGE thank you to all the inCREDible folks here in Dubai for letting us kickoff in epic fashion in your beautiful city! Here we go!!”
What do we know about the Jack Ryan movie?
The Jack Ryan movie is being directed by Andrew Bernstein, who served as an executive producer and director on Season 2 of the Prime Video series. The script comes from Aaron Rabin, who served as a co-executive producer and writer on Season 4.
Plot details are being kept under wraps at this time.
Along with Krasinski, the Jack Ryan movie will see Wendell Pierce, Michael Kelly, and Betty Gabriel reprise their respective roles as James Greer, Mike November, and Elizabeth Wright. The cast also includes Sienna Miller, Max Beesley, Douglas Hodge, and JJ Feild.
The movie comes from Amazon MGM Studios, Paramount Pictures, and Skydance. Krasinski serves as a producer alongside Allyson Seeger for Sunday Night, while Andrew Form is also producing. Skydance’s David Ellison and Dana Goldberg serve as executive producers with John Kelly and Carlton Cuse.
A release date for the Jack Ryan movie has not yet been announced.
