The Boys Season 5’s Jack Quaid Shares Hughie’s Bloody Set Photo

With at least one year still to go in the premiere of The Boys Season 5, Jack Quaid, who portrays Hughie Campbell in the series, has come out to share a snapshot of his character via a set photo. Based on a Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson comic book of the same name, the Prime Video show follows the journey of a group of vigilantes who band together to end the tyrannical reign of god-like superheroes. While plot details regarding the fifth and final installment continue to remain under wraps, it appears that Quaid’s character will engage in yet another blood bath.

Hughie to get another blood bath in The Boys Season 5

The Novocaine star hinted at Hughie’s involvement in a high-stakes action sequence in The Boys Season 5.

Taking to Instagram, Jack Quaid shared a set photo, fully covered in fake blood, with fans. He also added the playful caption, “WORK’S BEEN GOING GREAT, YOU GUYS!” to his post. Notably, his character Hughie Campbell has become accustomed to having his face smeared with other people’s blood in every season.

The first such instance occurred in The Boys’ debut outing when Hughie witnessed the accidental murder of his then-girlfriend, Robin, at the hands of Jessie T. Usher’s A-Train. The trend of him sporting a blood-covered face will seemingly follow in The Boys Season 5 as well, with Quaid stating that the installment will be “very messy” in an earlier interview.

“There’s something great about an ending that’s intentional, and The Boys season five is gonna be crazy. It’s gonna be very messy. I don’t know, I just keep thinking a lot of us are probably gonna die. It’s just going to be insane and I’m excited to see what that entails,” the actor noted.

The ultimate chapter in the fan-favorite series commenced its filming phase in November 2024. Nevertheless, The Boys Season 5 has yet to receive an official release date from its creators.
