Ayelet Zurer is currently making waves in the entertainment industry, particularly due to her role as Vanessa Fisk in Daredevil: Born Again. Other than that, the Israeli actress will also appear in Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming series House of David as Queen Ahinoam. In a recent discussion, Zurer opened up about her experience with the much-awaited historical drama, during which she also compared her character in the said show with her part in the forthcoming Charlie Cox-led Disney+ series.
Ayelet Zurer says her Daredevil: Born Again and House of David characters share similar ‘intensity and passion’
According to the Man of Steel star, Vanessa Fisk and Queen Ahinoam share many similarities, especially when it comes to loyalty and the passion they harbor for their significant others.
While speaking with Josh Wilding, Ayelet Zurer noted, “It’s very interesting because I was thinking about that and what way they’re similar and what way they’re not similar. I think the similarity comes from the intensity and passion they have for their man. And how loyal they are. They’re both very, very loyal women to a fault.”
Ayelet Zurer then highlighted a minor difference between the motivations of Vanessa Fisk in Daredevil: Born Again and Queen Ahinoam in House of David. “Vanessa, on the one hand, is way more intrigued by power and brutality. While Queen Ahinoam is not interested in brutality at all but she kinda has to go there in order to protect her family, the kingdom, the throne, and her husband,” the seasoned thespian remarked.
Developed by The Wonder Project’s Jon Erwin, House of David encapsulates the story of David, a king of ancient Israel and Judah, as well as the second ruler of the United Monarchy. The series is currently on track to come out on Prime Video on February 27, 2025. Meanwhile, Daredevil: Born Again will premiere its nine-episode season on Disney+ on March 4, 2025.
