The rumors of cancellation began with a recent delay in the episode of the ongoing Season 12. While episodes are released every Tuesday, in a surprising turn of events, there was no new episode on February 18, 2025. This caused confusion among fans. Many even started to speculate that the network might be abruptly canceling The Curse of Oak Island. Given the history of networks ending shows unexpectedly, viewers perhaps feared that The Curse of Oak Island could face a similar fate.
However, there is nothing to worry about because the show is not going anywhere as of now. The reason behind the delay of The Curse of Oak Island Season 12 Episode 13 was a slight change in the channel’s schedule. On February 18, History decided to air the documentary series of Thomas Jefferson in Oak Island’s slot.
This change was temporary, as new episodes of the reality show will be back this coming Tuesday. Episode 13 titled “Caissons Ho!” will be released on February 25, 2025, at 9:00 pm Eastern Time and 6:00 pm Pacific Time on the channel.
Further, new episodes will continue airing on Tuesdays, till Episode 16 on March 18, 2025. Season 12 will supposedly come to an end on the abovementioned date and it seems there is no update on the next season yet.
