Kristen Bell recently shared some details about her marriage with her husband Dax Shepard, and how they have made their longstanding union work. Bell and Shepard, who began dating in 2007, got engaged in 2009 and married in 2013. They have since welcomed two daughters, Lincoln and Delta. The two have also worked together on several projects like When in Rome and Hit & Run.

Kristen Bell revealed in a recent interview that her marriage with Dax Shepard was built on “foundational trust.”
“Even if Dax hooks up with the most beautiful person in the world at work, I know he’s committed to our family,” the 44-year-old actress told E! News. “I know he’s coming home.” She added that her husband deeply loved their two children. Moreover, she also mentioned that he was invested in being a great father to them.
Furthermore, Bell also mentioned that she and Shepard would have conversations about insecurities they would have if their partner was intimate with a co-star onscreen. “We root for each other,” she added. The Veronica Mars star further mentioned her support for her husband when he made out with his Parenthood co-star Minka Kelly.
Dax Shepard was also supportive when Kristen Bell had to be intimate with Nobody Wants This co-star Adam Brody. Brody plays her character’s love interest in the Netflix series. Bell had confirmed this in an e-Talk interview while promoting the series with Brody. Here, she had quoted Shepard saying “Oh my god, I want you to kiss him so badly.”
Shepard had earlier expressed this support for Bell and Brody’s on-screen relationship in an appearance at the New Yorker Festival. Here, he called their kissing scene in the series, which he saw with his friend, “the very best kissing scene ever, ever put on film.” (via People) Moreover, the 50-year-old actor and filmmaker also revealed that Bell did not kiss him the way she had kissed Brody in that scene. This was after he had been asked about it by his friend. “I didn’t even know she could kiss like that,” he added.
