What happens at the end of Severance Season 2 Episode 5?
Severance Season 2 Episode 5’s ending sees Mark Scout experience the reintegration process, which merges the Outie and Innie consciousnesses of a Lumon employee under Asal Reghabi’s supervision. Reghabi had been living with Mark at his house.
Mark was initially skeptical of the procedure. However, he had eventually found evidence that it worked before in the episode’s conclusion. This skepticism was also why he had kept his sister, Devon, in the dark about his and Reghabi’s work together.
After being reintegrated, Mark wakes up and walks through the corridors of the Lumon office, following Ms. Casey’s voice. He arrives at a well-lit corridor and soon turns around to find Ms. Casey or Gemma standing behind him, seemingly alive.
Mark is then taken back to his house basement in the real world. However, he now knows that his wife is actually still alive. Moreover, whatever doubts he had about the reintegration process are now gone.
