TMNT Officially Coming to Call of Duty

The hit first-person shooter franchise Call of Duty has seen a plethora of crossovers throughout its lifetime, some more bombastic than others. Although incredibly popular, this new one definitely fits the “bombastic” billing. The four anthropomorphic reptiles from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (a.k.a. TMNT) will exit the sewer, and enter the many war zones of Call of Duty.

Call of Duty x TMNT collaboration features all four turtles

In a recent X post from the official Call of Duty account, a video was posted with the caption “COD-A-BUNGA,” along with four turtle emojis. Even before watching the brief video, most could predict this is a tease for the Call of Duty x TMNT collaboration.

The video starts with the view of a Warzone map. It begins to pan down as the voice of the turtles being to come through from what ends up being the sewers. The four pop the sewer cap open reminiscent of the classic movie poster for the 1990 film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

This is the very first look of the Call of Duty x TMNT collaboration which sees Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo all make their debut in the first-person shooter. Although somewhat looking somewhat similar to their 90s film counterparts, it looks like Activision is opting for filled in white eyes rather than the somewhat haunting eyes from the films. The teaser ends with the simple phrase “Coming Soon,” implying the new cosmetics may be coming this season or the next. We’ll just have to wait and find out when Activision officially makes that announcement.

This is not the first time a TMNT character found their way into a Call of Duty video game. The turtle’s arch nemesis Shredder also made his appearance in the shooter back in 2023. Similar to these new turtle skins, the Shredder skin was influenced by the 1990 film iteration of the character.
