General Hospital: Why Does Anna Arrest [Spoiler]?

The episode of General Hospital released on February 12, 2025, sees Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) arresting someone, and viewers are wondering who it is and the reason behind the arrest.

General Hospital is a long-running ABC soap opera set in the fictional town of Port Charles, New York. Anna is the police commissioner at the Port Charles Police Department and has considerable influence in the town. So, when Anna arrests Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), it could potentially have a long-term impact on the narrative of the show.

Why does Anna arrest Josslyn in General Hospital?

This episode features a confrontation between Anna and Josslyn. The former has a warning that she delivered to Josslyn about what she did in her attempt to get into Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) apartment. This is after Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) interrogates the super of Cyrus’ building complex and discovers that Josslyn had been there. When he informs Anna about this, she realizes that she needs to have a talk with the younger woman before she gets herself killed. Accordingly, she sends Chase to get Josslyn to the station.

After Josslyn arrives, the confrontation happens. Chase and Anna take her to the interrogation room and tell her in no uncertain terms the bleak future lies ahead of her if she continues to act the way she has been doing. Anna and Chase also let Josslyn know that what she did was criminal trespassing and fraud. They seem to be afraid of the prospect that the super has informed Cyrus, a notorious career criminal. Josslyn asks the other two if she can leave or if she needs to call Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy), her lawyer. Anna advises her to do the latter before arresting her.

Anna places Josslyn in police custody because she is genuinely worried about her. Josslyn appears to have little idea what Cyrus is capable of, and her actions could have led to disastrous consequences.
