The rumor about One Piece getting renewed for Season 3 took over social media after a listing on the official website of the Writers Guild of America West showcased an update regarding the showrunner and executive producer of the show. The listing had the title Season 3 for One Piece with Matt Owens named as the showrunner and Joseph E Tracz as the executive producer.
The listing was also shared on X (formerly Twitter) by PewPiece, which is popular among fans for providing spoilers of the manga’s ongoing chapters. He shared that the series seems to have been renewed. PewPiece wrote, “Season 3 has not been officially announced by Netflix yet. However, a listing on the Writers Guild of America directory confirms that work on it has started.”
Albeit, Netflix has not provided any details regarding this yet. Moreover, the filming of One Piece Season 2 has already concluded. It was announced by Netflix on X, through a photo of all the cast members on the set. The creator of the One Piece manga, Eichiro Oda has also been actively involved in the live-action adaptation since Season 1.
