With 2025’s Snow White only a month away from release, people are curious about the box office prediction for the film. They are also eager to learn whether this film will flop or succeed. This live-action film will be a retelling of the classic Disney animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. This upcoming film is helmed by Marc Webb, best known for his work on movies like 500 Days of Summer and The Amazing Spider-Man film series.
Here is the box office prediction for Snow White explored.
How much is Snow White predicted to make at the box office?
Snow White is estimated to make $63-70 million in its first three days.
As per The Quorum, this figure appears to be in the same range as 2014’s Maleficient. That film opened to $69.4 million on opening weekend. It’s also in the same range as 2015’s live-action Cinderella, which had an opening of $67.8 million.
Moreover, Snow White’s $63-70 million estimated opening range is higher than that of The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes‘ opening of $44.6 million, which is Snow White star Rachel Zegler’s highest opening.
Furthermore, The Quorum also reveals that the film has 59 percent awareness, 46 percent interest, 43 percent from people who would prefer to watch the movie in theaters, and 52 percent from people who would pay to watch the film.
Will Snow White flop or succeed?
It remains to be seen whether Snow White will flop or succeed.
The film has been marred with controversies and has faced much criticism leading up to its release. This is especially after the star Rachel Zegler made some perceived disrespectful comments in a 2022 ExtraTV interview. Here, she had called the 1937 film “weird.” She also claimed that Snow White’s love interest was a “stalker” and joked about how the latter’s scenes would be cut.
Zegler eventually expressed sadness over the hate in a Variety interview. Here, she also clarified her earlier comments, saying that Snow White in the upcoming film had goals beyond romance.
Snow White arrives in theaters on March 21, 2025. Besides Zegler, the film stars Andrew Burnap, Gal Gadot, Martin Klebba, Ansu Kabia, Dujona Gift-Simms, and Joshmaine Joseph, among others.
