Ariana Grande is a superstar in the world of music. Now, she’s commanding more and more of Hollywood’s eyes as an actor, with several high-profile roles having reportedly been offered to her.
What movies has Grande been offered roles in?
In a recent profile on the actress/musician, The Hollywood Reporter spoke about the amount of “heat” that Grande has on her as an actress, and mentioned that she had been offered a number of high-profile roles for her to star in.
According to the report, these films include a sequel to the cult classic 1987 Star Wars parody film Spaceballs, a “disaster wedding comedy,” and a movie described as a “female detective romp” that’s set in a reality television show akin to the Housewives television shows.
The report notes that Grande has yet to really “engage” in any of the projects, and did say that for her, it’s more important right now to stay grounded and wait for a project that really speaks to her before diving into just anything.
“Well, I can neither confirm nor deny, but I’m blushing,” said Grande. “I just think it’s such an important thing to stay connected to that guttural creative thing in my heart and my chest that wants to give itself over to something that screams at me and says, ‘Oh, that’s a really cool challenge.’ I have a thing, and when it goes off, I know.”
Grande made her first major splash into the world of film in 2024’s Wicked, and immediately earned critical and audience praise. The star is currently nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her work,
