Fallout Season 2 Will ‘Blow Season 1 Out of the Water,’ Says Walton Goggins

Despite the immense success of the Fallout series, Amazon Prime Video has failed to provide fans with any consequential briefing regarding the release date of Season 2. Nevertheless, Walton Goggins, who portrays Cooper Howard, AKA The Ghoul in the small-screen adaptation of the video game franchise of the same name, has now come out to share an encouraging update about the filming of the show’s much-awaited sophomore iteration.

Walton Goggins gives Fallout Season 2’s filming update

In a recent discussion, the Sons of Anarchy alum stated that the follow-up edition to the post-apocalyptic series is currently undergoing the shooting phase. However, Walton Goggins failed to provide any detail regarding Fallout Season 2’s release date or when the installment would finish filming.

While talking with Deadline at the red-carpet premiere of The White Lotus Season 3, Goggins shed light on Fallout Season 2’s ongoing production, inadvertently giving fans insight into the sequel chapter’s potential release date. “We’re in the middle of filming it right now, we’ve been at it since November, and I can tell you that I thought Season 1 was extraordinary, personally, I was very pleased with it,” he noted.

The veteran actor then remarked that fans can expect a better and grander set of episodes in Fallout Season 2 than its predecessor. “This blows it out of the water, what these writers have done and the artisans that have come together to tell this story. It’s really gonna be something. I can’t wait for people to see it. We’re working really hard to make that happen,” Goggins exclaimed.

It is important to note that the debut chapter of Fallout began filming in July 2022 and hit the small screens in April 2024. Considering Walton Goggins’ comments about Season 2 entering the shooting stage in November 2024, fans can expect the sequel’s release date to arrive sometime in 2026.

With the devastating California wildfires throwing a wrench into the works by briefly halting production on the sequel, Fallout Season 2 could also experience an extended delay in its premiere.
