Human Torch and The Thing would come out to play on February 21, 2025, on Marvel Rivals with the launch of the second half, following the conclusion of Season 1’s first half at 8:00 (UTC+0).
As fans are aware, Net Ease Games has dropped the release date of the second half of the game. After the conclusion of the first half, the next chapter will begin on February 21, 2025. Additionally, fans will get to witness new fan-favorite superheroes, Human Torch and The Thing. The announcement is as follows:
“The first half of Season 1 is reaching its end with the second half set to kick off on February 21, 2025! Get ready to welcome two new Super Heroes to Marvel Rivals—The Thing and Human Torch—along with seasonal rank adjustments.” (via The Direct)
For the unaware, the powers of these characters in the game were leaked online. Human Torch might be a damage-dealing duelist, as he possesses a supernova blast whose flames can be used as a wall on the battlegrounds. Additionally, the Human Torch can transform its flame into a flight.
On the other hand, The Thing might join the Vanguard heroes with Thor, Hulk, and Venom. He can solidify himself to resist attacks and create a commotion in the ground to send enemies flying, while his gigantic fists can cause serious damage.
Aside from the entry of these characters, players at gold rank or above will get a costume reward in the second half. Human Torch and The Thing might also receive exciting costumes, which can be their looks from The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Further, the Grandmaster rank holders or above with the top 500 will receive the Crest of Honor.
