Percy Jackson and the Olympians Star Promises ‘More Action’ & A ‘Happier’ Percy in Season 2

Percy Jackson and the Olympians star Walker Scobell has opened up about the highly-anticipated second installment of the hit Disney+ series, teasing what to expect from the upcoming Season 2 time jump. This comes after the coming-of-age fantasy show had just wrapped up production on its latest season.

What did Walker Scobell say about Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2?

During a recent interview, Scobell revealed that Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 will be a bit different from how it starts in Rick Riordan’s original 2006 novel The Sea of Monsters in order to address the cast’s growth. In addition, he also teased more action-packed sequences in the new installment, as they leveled up the stakes for each character.

“[Season 2] starts off in a little bit of a different place, at least for Percy, than the book, just because of how much bigger I’ve gotten.” He said (via TV Insider), “And I would say he’s a little bit happier than he is in the book…I feel like he’s definitely changed a little bit since we last saw him.”

Scobell continued, “This season has a lot more action than last season for sure. I feel like last season was very much like, we would stay in one place and have conversation and then there’d be an action sequence, you know what I mean? It was awesome. But this season, the stakes are higher for our characters, so it almost feels like there’s never a place where we just stop and talk. We’re almost always doing something, which I think it fits this book perfectly. There’s just so much at stake for our characters.”
