Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Drew McIntyre has sent out a surprising message ahead of RAW. The upcoming edition of WWE RAW will take place at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
Despite spending years on the red brand, McIntyre won’t appear on the show. WWE officially moved him to SmackDown, as revealed on last Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown. On his first night, McIntyre reflected on his Royal Rumble elimination and admitted his frustration stemmed from RAW’s toxic environment.
He took a shot at general manager Adam Pearce but credited SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis for assuring him he could be himself on the blue brand. Now, McIntyre has his sights set on Cody Rhodes and the Undisputed WWE Championship.
He defeated Jimmy Uso and LA Knight in an Elimination Chamber qualifier, pinning Knight to secure his spot in the match. McIntyre now joins John Cena and CM Punk, with three spots still up for grabs. As McIntyre focuses on dethroning Rhodes, he sent a surprising message to TNA World Heavyweight Champion Joe Hendry ahead of WWE RAW.
WWE’s Drew McIntyre backs TNA world champion Joe Hendry
Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Drew McIntyre recently took to social media to share a photo with TNA World Champion Joe Hendry. Posing together backstage at the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble, McIntyre captioned the post with Hendry’s catchphrase, “I believe…”
McIntyre appears to be supporting his fellow Scottish wrestler, who has been on a major run over the past year. Hendry got noticed for his NXT appearance and his popular theme song. A few weeks ago, Joe Hendry defeated former WWE Superstar Nic Nemeth to win the TNA World Championship.
At Royal Rumble 2025, Joe Hendry faced off against Roman Reigns, who ultimately eliminated him from the Men’s Royal Rumble Match. With momentum on his side, it will be interesting to see what’s next for Hendry.
