According to a report by People Magazine, the announcement of Adan Manzano’s death was made by Telemundo Kansas City in a post made on Instagram. The sports journalist passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, in New Orleans. Manzano was present in the city to report the upcoming Super Bowl game which will take place on February 9.
Based on the information obtained from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, the journalist’s body was found at the Contempra Inn in Kenner by the hotel manager. The details further reveal that Manzano was lying face-down on his bed when he was found. The hotel manager checked on him after he didn’t check out from the hotel as per his schedule.
While the autopsy has been conducted as the outlet, the results are still pending and the cause of Adan Manzano’s death is not revealed yet.
Telemundo Kansas City wrote in the post, “We are saddened to share that Adan Manzano passed away yesterday in New Orleans, while on assignment to cover the Super Bowl for both Telemundo Kansas City and Tico Sports. We are cooperating with law enforcement as they investigate this tragic event.” They described Manzano as a “true professional and a rising star” in the field of journalism.
Tico Sports also made a statement to USA Today, mourning the loss, and stated, “Adan was a devoted father to his young daughter, a helpful colleague, and loyal friend. He will be greatly missed by our TICO Family and will live on in our hearts and memories.”
