Report: Taylor Swift Unhappy With Blake Lively’s ‘Dragon’ Comments

Taylor Swift is reportedly not happy with the fact that Blake Lively referred to her as one of her “dragons” in messages to Justin Baldoni, according to a recent report from TMZ.

In TMZ’s latest report on the matter, they note that Swift felt used after being asked to go over to Blake Lively’s home, in which Justin Baldoni was there alongside Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds. In Baldoni’s lawsuit against Lively, he alleges that Lively ambushed him, as the get together turned into a heated discussion about a particular scene in It Ends With Us.

According to TMZ’s report, however, Swift had no idea the meeting was going to take place, and simply went over to Lively’s home because she was invited. The report goes on to mention that a source close to the parties believe Swift thinks Lively purposely brought her to the meeting in an effort to bump into Baldoni.

The report also notes that Swift was not happy with the fact that Lively would go on to call Swift and Reynolds her “dragons” to Baldoni, in a text that insinuated that they would protect her from anyone. However, TMZ also notes that another source says the pair hashed out the issue after having “a good cry” and hugging it out.

Lively previously compared herself to Game of Thrones’ Daenerys Targaryen in texts

In the lawsuit (via Variety), Baldoni’s legal team included text messages between himself and Lively while filming It Ends With Us. In the text chain, Baldoni discusses a rooftop scene between the pair, which had been reworked by Lively and Reynolds, as well as an alleged meeting that took place between Baldoni, Lively, Reynolds, and what seems to be Swift, where Lively and her husband, along with the pop star, praised Lively’s version of the scene.

The text message from Lively ends with her comparing herself to Game of Thrones’ Daenerys Targaryen, saying that like the Khaleesi, she has a pair of “dragons” who will do whatever is necessary to protect her, which Baldoni’s lawyers claim came as a threat to him.

“If you ever get around to watching Game of Thrones, you’ll appreciate that I’m Khaleesi, and like her, I happen to have a few dragons,” wrote Lively in the text. “For better or worse, but usually for better. Because my dragons also protect those I fight for. So really we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. You will too, I can promise you.”

Baldoni’s lawsuit alleged various claims of extortion, defamation, and breach of contract claims centered around the making of It Ends With Us. Lively’s team has already responded to the lawsuit, calling it nothing more than another page out of the “abuser playbook.”

Baldoni previously filed a lawsuit against Lively just ahead of the new year and alleges that Lively’s public relations team began pushing an “unverified and self-serving narrative” against Baldoni while using “cherry-picked and altered communications stripped of necessary context” to paint him in a bad light. The lawsuit sees Baldoni seeking at least $250 million while claiming fraud and breach of contract as well as libel.
