However, an online theory indicates that Galactus will destroy the retro Earth by devouring it. This aligns with the character, as he is known for being a world devourer or destroyer in the comics and most Marvel media. As per the theory, the retro Earth’s destruction would set up Doctor Doom’s extreme villainous plans in Avengers: Doomsday. This would lead the F4 to then join forces with the Avengers from the main MCU timeline to defeat him.
Additionally, this theory could also explain how the Fantastic Four would end up in the main MCU Earth after escaping the theorized destruction of their retro Earth.
There are a few key scenes from the film’s recently released trailer that support the aforementioned theory.
