American rapper Lil Pump recently mocked singer Selena Gomez for her now-deleted video in which she was crying over Donald Trump’s deportation policies. Gomez’s video which immediately went viral in January, stirred a storm among users on the internet. However, the video was later removed from the singer’s Instagram amid constant trolling from users online.
Lil Pump mocks Selena Gomez for crying
Lil Pump recently took to his X (formerly Twitter) account and posted an AI-generated image of him alongside a crying Selena Gomez. Along with the image, the rapper wrote, “She’s crying for no reason I’m happy trumps back,” throwing shade at Gomez’s recent emotional video.
Gomez posted a video on her Instagram a few days ago in which she was crying as she expressed her sadness at not being able to help those being deported. In the video, she said, “I’m so sorry. All my people are getting attacked, the children. I don’t understand. I’m so sorry, I wish I could do something but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. I’ll try everything, I promise.”
However, after the video was subjected to criticism she deleted it and posted a story in which she wrote, “Apparently it’s not ok to show empathy for people.” Although the singer didn’t mention Trump’s name, it seemed that she was upset over the raids which the Immigration and Customs Enforcement was conducting. These raids are aimed at carrying out the deportation plans set by the 47th US President in his inauguration speech.
Although Lil Pump criticized Gomez for the video, another rapper Flavor Flav came in support of the singer. In his tweet on X (formerly Twitter), Flav asserted that he is on team Selena Gomez and added, “That woman is always so brave to share her truth,,, and so many are quick to bully her.”
