Things took a terrifying turn when Mouch’s wife Officer Trudy Platt from Chicago P.D. ended up getting shot. Thankfully, she survived and is now in recovery.
To support her, Mouch took a leave of absence from Firehouse 51 to stay by her side. His dedication to Trudy showcases his deep love and commitment, ensuring she recovers fully before returning to work.
In the recent episode, Chief Dom Pascal inquiries about Mouch after noticing his Chippy in the station. He asked Herrmann when Mouch would be back at work. To which Hermann comments, ”Yeah, couple more shifts.” He also shares that Trudy is eager to resume her duties, but Mouch insists she takes more time to recover.
