A major update has arrived on WWE Superstar Dakota Kai, who is out with a concussion. Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai had participated in the Women’s Intercontinental Championship Tournament.
The wrestler defeated superstars like Katana Chance, Shayna Baszler, and Zoey Stark, making her way to the finals. However, she suffered a crushing defeat in the finals against Lyra Valkyria. Her faction, Damage CTRL, was also involved in a feud with the Pure Fusion Collective, consisting of Shayna Baszler, Sonya Deville, and Zoey Stark.
On the January 20th edition of WWE RAW, Kai teamed up with Iyo Sky for a tag match against Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler. Reports state that Kai sustained a concussion during the match. To write off TV, she was attacked by Baszler, Stark, and Sonya Deville backstage.
Damage CTRL, consisting of Asuka, Kairi Sane, Iyo Sky, and Dakota Kai, currently has Asuka and Kairi Sane sidelined due to injury. With Dakota Kai also out of action, reports have now confirmed her return status.
Reports: Dakota Kai is expected to make return in just few weeks
PWInsider reports that WWE hopes to clear Dakota Kai for a return to action on RAW within the next few weeks. One source believes she could return by the end of February, if not sooner.
Due to her concussion, Kai missed the chance to compete in this past weekend’s Women’s Royal Rumble match. With her expected return by the end of February. It remains to be seen if she will secure a spot in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match.
On the latest edition of RAW, her Damage CTRL teammate Iyo Sky lost to Liv Morgan. Thus, the former failed to qualify for the Women’s Elimination Chamber match. If Kai makes her much-anticipated return, many wonder whether she can claim a spot for Damage CTRL in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match.
