Cooper Kupp Comments on Rams Plan to Trade Him: ‘I Don’t Agree With The Decision’

In an unexpected turn of events, the Los Angeles Rams have reportedly decided to trade Cooper Kupp ahead of the 2025 offseason. The 31-year-old wide receiver joined the Rams in the 2017 NFL draft and has been with the team ever since. However, after almost eight years of service, Kupp will now be parting ways with Los Angeles.

Here are all the available details regarding Cooper Kupp’s proposed trade from the Rams.

What did Cooper Kupp say about Rams’ offseason trade plan?

The NFL veteran took to social media on Monday to reveal that Sean McVay’s side is currently looking to offload him prior to the commencement of the 2025 season. In his latest X (formerly Twitter) post, Cooper Kupp stated, “I was informed that the team will be seeking a trade immediately and will be working with me and my family to find the right place to continue competing for championships. I don’t agree with the decision and always believed it was going to begin and end in LA.”

Despite the news of his upcoming trade, Cooper Kupp maintained his composure over the Rams’ decision and expressed gratitude to the LA community, which has consistently supported him over the years. “I have taken so much pride in playing alongside my teammates for the LA community, so thank you for embracing my family and making this such a special place for us,” the player wrote.

In eight regular seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, Kupp has recorded 634 receptions for 7,776 yards while also securing 57 touchdowns in total. His crowning moment with the Rams occurred in 2021 when he played a pivotal role in his side’s run to the Super Bowl title. Kupp finished the season with 145 catches for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns, which fetched him the Offensive Player of the Year, as well as the Super Bowl MVP shout.
