Fans have often pitted Hulk and Red Hulk against each other, thanks to their similar looks and abilities, arguing who was stronger and would win in a battle. Now with Captain America: Brave New World introducing audiences to Red Hulk, played by Harrison Ford, it’s time to discuss which of the two Hulks is more powerful.
Find out who could win in a potential Hulk vs. Red Hulk fight.
Is Red Hulk stronger than the Hulk?
Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk is stronger than Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, particularly the current iteration of the latter character, Smart Hulk.
Moreover, Red Hulk also has an arsenal of abilities that give him the edge over Hulk and make him stronger. These abilities include heat radiation, which is powerful enough to turn sand into glass, and energy absorption. Red Hulk can also absorb all kinds of energies, irrespective of their origins, whether it be cosmic or mystical. This could prove incredibly difficult for Smart Hulk to handle.
However, unlike the main angry Hulk, who gets stronger the angrier he gets, Red Hulk’s anger is actually his weakness. If Red Hulk were to get angrier, then his body temperature would increase.
This could lead to him slowly losing focus, becoming weaker and eventually losing consciousness. Thus, this would put him at a disadvantage if he gets agitated while going up against an incredibly angry Hulk.
Could Red Hulk defeat the Hulk in MCU?
Red Hulk is expected to win in a fight against Smart Hulk. This is because Red Hulk retains the intelligence and tactical mind from Thunderbolt Ross. Ross is a combat expert due to his years in the military.
This is unlike Smart Hulk, whose scientific/ gamma radiation knowledge would not be very useful in their fight. Thus, Red Hulk should be able to find ways to put Hulk at a disadvantage and defeat him.
However, if Red Hulk was fighting the main angry Hulk, then he could lose the fight. This is because Hulk gets stronger the more he is agitated. As such, Red Hulk’s combat prowess and tactical genius would then prove fruitless, as Hulk would surmount all obstacles thrown, and come out on top.
