Sabrina Carpenter & Olivia Rodrigo’s Interaction at 2025 Grammys Goes Viral

Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo were spotted talking to each other and acting rather amicably during the 2025 Grammys. This interaction went viral and deeply surprised netizens. This is because Rodrigo and Carpenter were believed by fans to have been allegedly involved in a feud since 2021, which they attributed to their respective songs, “Driver’s License” and “Skin.”

Here are all the details of the two fan-favorite singers’ viral interaction as well as how fans reacted to the same.

In a video shared online, Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo were seen interacting with one another. The latter had stopped by the “Espresso” hitmaker’s seat to speak with her, while Taylor Swift walked past them.

However, the aforementioned video that was uploaded online is grainy. Thus, it remains unclear as to what the two artists were talking about. Here’s the viral clip featuring the two musicians:

Interestingly, netizens had all sorts of reactions when the footage was uploaded online. “this was a cute moment but sabrina fans still gonna drag olivia unprovoked,” one user wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “Hey we basically make the same music,” wrote another fan.

This does not seem to be the first time Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter were spotted interacting since talk of a supposed feud emerged online in 2021. They were reportedly also seen interacting during the 2022 Met Gala, according to a photo shared on Instagram by Vogue. However, the two were only seen in the background, while actor Sebastian Stan took center stage in the picture.

The reason why fans had believed for a long time that Carpenter and Rodrigo were feuding was because of certain lyrics in their respective songs, “Skin” and “Driver’s License.” Fans speculated that both singers seemed to be referencing their respective reported relationships with Joshua Bassett in the lyrics.

However, Olivia Rodrigo refuted fan speculation about this in a 2021 Variety interview, even expressing her dislike for that “narrative.” Meanwhile, in an appearance on On Air With Ryan Seacrest, Sabrina Carpenter also addressed their alleged feud. She further clarified that her song was not a diss track about Rodrigo.
