Pop-rock trio COIN band is officially disbanding, with frontman Chase Lawrence citing a serious rift between him and his bandmates as the reason behind the breakup. In a heartfelt Instagram post on January 28, Lawrence shared that he recently learned of troubling “revelations” about drummer Ryan Winnen and guitarist Joe Memmel, leading him to sever ties with both members.

Lawrence explained that he first parted ways with Winnen three months ago and decided to remove Memmel just one day before his announcement. Without revealing specific details, he stated that their actions directly conflicted with his values, calling the situation “truly heartbreaking.” He wrote, “Creating a space for love & joy through music has always been my mission. Discovering that this space has been compromised by the actions of others is truly heartbreaking. Unfortunately, these developments have led me to the decision that COIN can no longer continue as a band.”

As a result, he confirmed that COIN would no longer move forward. To the band’s fans, Lawrence expressed regret over the disappointment this news may bring to them. He acknowledged the significant impact their support has had on him. Despite the end of COIN, Lawrence assured them that his musical journey is not over.
