ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive Moana 2 clip, previewing the making of a song from the film’s special features. The Disney hit is available now digitally and will be out on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on March 18.
What happens in the Moana 2 clip?
The new clip previews a behind-the-scenes look at the song “Can I Get a Chee Hoo?” and features interviews with Dwayne Johnson, directors David G. Derrick, Jr. and Jason Hand, and songwriters Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, as they all discuss the process of coming up with the song and what it means in the context of the movie.
Moana 2 is available now on digital and will be available on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on March 18, 2025.

The voice cast for Moana 2 includes Auli’i Cravalho as Moana, Dwayne Johnson as Maui, Temuera Morrison as Tui, Nicole Scherzinger as Sina, Rose Matafeo as Loto, David Fane as Kele, Rachel House as Tala, Alan Tudyk as Heihei, Awhimai Fraser as Matangi, and more.
“The film reunites Moana and Maui three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.”
Moana 2 is directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand, and Dana Ledoux Miller from a screenplay co-written by Miller and Jared Bush. It was executive produced by Bush, Johnson, and Jennifer Lee. The original was directed by Ron Clements and John Musker. It was not only a commercial success with a gross of over $600 million, but it also earned positive reviews from critics and earned two Oscar nominations, including Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song.
