To improve the user interface of the streaming platform, Max has officially launched a new navigation menu today. This new update will streamline the user browsing experience on connected TV devices globally.
What are the new changes to Max’s navigation menu?
Max‘s updated navigation menu has relocated the Home, Series, Movies, HBO, B/R Sports, and CNN Max content lenses from the top of the page into the left side utility menu, which already includes Search and My Stuff functionalities, Settings, and Profiles. Meanwhile, the global UI update will begin with a phased roll out approach, initially launching for a small number of users and increasing over time. For each region, the global UI update will be slightly modified to fit local needs.
In addition, the new navigation menu will now also include a “What’s New” navigation page, where users can easily find the movies and TV shows that recently arrived on the platform, along with those coming or leaving soon. Besides this, Max’s new menu is also introducing the “Categories” page, which serves as a new pathway for users to browse titles by genre, brand, and thematic collections. This new update will allow users to easily access the streamer’s wide content library.
This comes after the recent series debut of The Pitt, which is Max’s newest medical drama starring ER vet Noah Wyle. At the moment, the streamer has a several original shows set to arrive sometime this year, including the crime thriller show Duster, which hails from producer J.J. Abrams. Max also has a few major shows returning this year such as Peacemaker Season 2 and Hacks Season 4.
