Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir Season 6 will release on January 25, 2025, at 11 a.m. ET/PT on both Disney Channel and Disney XD simultaneously (via Variety).
The series will complete 10 years this year and will introduce brand new adventures for Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste. This upcoming season will celebrate the show’s 10th anniversary and will unveil a new look for the titular superheroes via the use of Unreal Engine.
The show’s producer Miraculous Corp. opened up about this development in a recent press release. They stated, “Set against the stunning backdrop of a revitalized, eco-friendly Paris, the season introduces cutting-edge visuals powered by Unreal Engine. The world’s leading real-time 3D creation platform, bringing immersive and photorealistic storytelling to life. The fresh visuals, paired with an all-new narrative arc, elevate the beloved series to new creative heights” (via CBR).
This new development in the show’s animation promises brand new assets, including fresh character models, props and backgrounds. The Season 6 teaser has provided a sneak-peek into the high production quality and innovative designs of the leading duo.
The new season will also showcase the new superhero alter ego looks of Cosmobug and Astrocat. Maria Doolan, Head of Content Partnerships and Distribution at Miraculous Corp, has promised that this new season will feature “characters who have grown and evolved with refreshed visuals that capture their development, and a bold new storyline weaves together themes of courage and self-belief that continue to resonate with fans of all ages.”
