Beast Games creates new record for Prime Video with 50 million global views

Beast Games, a reality competition series co-created and hosted by YouTube personality MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson), has reached 50 million viewers globally within 25 days of its premiere on December 19, 2024, according to Amazon Prime Video (via Deadline).

This milestone makes it the platform’s most-watched unscripted series of all time within its first 25 days. The viewer metric, which Amazon has not fully defined, may include partial episode views or account-based estimates.

The show has attracted a large international audience, with over 50% of its viewership coming from outside the United States. Key markets contributing to its success include India, the United Kingdom, and Mexico. Alongside its record-breaking viewership, Beast Games has been Amazon’s second most acquisitive series of 2024, indicating significant subscriber growth driven by the show.

Beast Games features 1,000 contestants competing in physical, mental, and social challenges for a $5 million cash prize. This prize is reportedly the largest payout in reality television history.

Sean Klitzner, Tyler Conklin, and Mack Hopkins serve as the co-creators of the show, apart from Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast. Executive producers include Michael Cruz, Matt Apps, Charles Wachter, Keith Geller, Joe Coleman, and Rachel Skidmore, among many more.

MrBeast became the most subscribed YouTuber in November 2022 and now has over 344 million subscribers. He began his digital career at age 13 and gained fame in 2017 with a viral video.

New episodes of Beast Games are released weekly on Prime Video. Challenges offer unique rewards for contestants, with rumors suggesting a prize may include an island.
