Wendy Williams Is Reportedly ‘Happy’ Amid Health Struggles

Former broadcaster Wendy Williams appears to be keeping her spirits high amid ongoing health struggles that prompted her to retire from the public eye. The 60-year-old Radio host decided to live her life privately from 2023 onwards. Reports revealed she was diagnosed with aphasia and dementia.

Reports claim Wendy Williams is ‘happy’ and ‘content’ amid health struggles

Wendy Williams will not let anything come between her high spirits and life. The former DJ, who hosted three television shows for over 30 years, is not in the public eye anymore. However, a source close to US Weekly shared, “She’s still Wendy.” The source further added that Williams is “content and happy to be with her family.”

Amid talks about Wendy’s life away from the public eye, reports have also suggested that the former Radio DJ will appear on TV. The Daytime Emmy Award nominee will appear on The Breakfast Club’s morning show. She will be talking about conservatorships and guardianships. As per the show’s preview, Williams will share her thoughts on how the conservatorship system must be “transparent, compassionate, and designed to preserve dignity, not control.”

Williams first broke her silence about her frontotemporal dementia and aphasia diagnosis in February 2024. Her representative had said, “Receiving a diagnosis has enabled Wendy to receive the medical care she requires.”

The PR also highlighted Williams’s difficulty while dealing with the situation. “The decision to share this news was difficult and made after careful consideration, not only to advocate for understanding and compassion for Wendy but to raise awareness about aphasia and frontotemporal dementia and support the thousands of others facing similar circumstances.”

While Wendy Williams retired from public life, she was still spotted attending significant events for her family members. She appeared for her son Kevin Junior’s college graduation event in Miami in December 2024. Williams had to use a mobility scooter during her event.

Williams reportedly uses the mobility scooter to battle lymphedema, a chronic condition that results in swelling in the body. With so many serious health struggles, Wendy Williams’ high spirit inspires many.
