Taylor Swift is reportedly revamping her famous Rhode Island holiday house (via The Providence Journal). A building permit has been submitted detailing the renovation that will take place at the singer’s mansion situated in Westerly’s Watch Hill neighborhood.
The permit reveals that a bedroom will be added to the waterfront home. Plus, some new bathrooms will also be built for the guests. In addition, an existing kitchen will undergo some renovations. However, the details of the kitchen renovations are not mentioned. The total cost of the renovation can go up to $1.7 million.
Swift bought her Rhode Island property in 2013 with a whopping $17.5 million price tag. Since then, the house has seen many glamorous celebrity gatherings, including her 4th July bashes. Pop icon Selena Gomez, the Haim sisters, and others got together for a memorable Independence party at the house in 2023.
Last year, the “Karma” singer reportedly invited Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, to the Rhode Island property in August. The pop legend’s beau Travis Kelce, Patrick, and Brittany Mahomes also joined the vacation. The holiday house became the perfect hub for a family reunion when Jason Kelce and his wife Kylie joined the party.
Meanwhile, swifties speculate that the house renovation could be linked to the entertainer’s future planning. The Grammy-winning singer is head over hills for Kansas City Chiefs star Kelce. After over two years of dating, Kelce might soon pop the question for the singer.
A source told Entertainment Tonight in 2024, “Taylor and Travis are doing amazing, and their loved ones see an engagement coming sooner than later. They make a great match, and there’s no question about that.”
