Prime Target Trailer Previews Leo Woodall’s Government Conspiracy Thriller Series

Leo Woodall is a brilliant mathematician embroiled in a government conspiracy in Apple TV+’s newly released trailer for its upcoming thriller series, Prime Target

The SAG Award winner, known for his appearance in The White Lotus and One Day, leads the Apple TV+ series created by award-winning writer Steve Thompson (Sherlock). In addition to making the series, Thompson also serves as the show’s executive producer. 

What happens in the Prime Target trailer? 

The trailer for Prime Target introduces Woodall’s Edward Brooks, a college student whose work (which holds the key to all significant records, including bank accounts and defense systems) catches the attention of a government that would do anything to destroy his idea.

Prime Target also stars Quintessa Swindell (Black Adam), Stephen Rea (The Crying Game), David Morrissey (The Walking Dead), Martha Plimpton (The Regime), Sidse Babett Knudsen (Borgen), Jason Flemyng (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Harry Lloyd (Game of Thrones), Ali Suliman (Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan), Fra Fee (Rebel Moon), and Joseph Mydell (The Eternal Daughter).

Per the official synopsis, Prime Target “features a brilliant young math postgraduate, Edward Brooks, who is on the verge of a major breakthrough. If he succeeds in finding a pattern in prime numbers, he will hold the key to every computer in the world. Soon, he begins to realize an unseen enemy is trying to destroy his idea before it’s even born, which throws him into the orbit of Taylah Sanders, an NSA agent who’s been tasked with watching and reporting on mathematicians’ behavior. Together, they start to unravel the troubling conspiracy Edward is at the heart of.”

The eight-episode series is produced for Apple TV+ by New Regency with Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions. The first two episodes will premiere globally on the streaming platform on January 22, 2025, followed by new episodes weekly through March 5.
