The L.A. fires, which began earlier this week, ravaged over 2000 buildings. The fires also killed at least five people and forced 137,000 people to leave their homes.

“Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience,” the model wrote in an Instagram post.
The 43-year-old model and reality star said that the Malibu house was where her 1-year-old son, Phoenix, learned how to walk. She added that the house was where she and her family fostered “precious memories” and dreamt of cultivating a “lifetime of memories” with their 1-year-old daughter London.
Hilton then expressed gratitude for the safety of her family and pets. She also expressed empathy for other people whose lives were affected by the fires. “My heart aches for those still in harm’s way or mourning greater losses. The devastation is unimaginable,” she added.
The Paris in Love star then mentioned that her 11:11 Media Impact Team was contacting nonprofit organizations to coordinate with them and provide community support.
Hilton then requested fans to stay safe and follow evacuation orders. She also reminded them to be hopeful that the fires would be contained. “Sending so much love and strength to all of you.
