Here are the details.
Is Brutus dead or alive in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew?
Brutus is likely dead in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.
The episode witnesses Jod making Brutus and his team believe the existence of At Attin — a forested planet away from the wider galaxy operated by service droids and responsible citizens. He attempts his best to make them comprehend the planet’s realness and how it’s a danger zone for everyone.
However, Brutus and his team have a hard time believing him and try to trap him in the airlock. He remains firm on his claims, revealing that the protective shield around the planet is just an illusion and that if the ship enters it will get destroyed.
Almost closer to losing his life in airlock, Onyx Cinder appears, making Jod realize how to enter the danger zone. Through him, Jod discovers that to get into the At Attin system, they require a ship that’s originated from there. Leveraging a tractor beam, he tries to get near the kids’ ship.
Wim, Fern, KB, and Neel pick up the robotic claw and try to trap Brutus. Jod sees it as a chance to take control of his crew. So, he does the unthinkable. He shoots Brutus dead and commands the crew to restrain kids and prisoners as they approach At Attin’s atmosphere. Soon enough, the kids don’t hold back and fight to secure control of their ship from Jod to reach home safely.
