Taylor Swift’s absence from Travis Kelce’s Christmas Day game against the Pittsburgh Steelers has raised some questions among fans. While the pop star singer has been present at the Kansas City Chiefs’ several home games this season, she chose not to attend this particular away game.
Here’s why Swift missed the Christmas match.
Reason why Taylor Swift missed Travis Kelce’s Chiefs Game
Taylor Swift was notably absent from the Kansas City Chiefs’ Christmas Day game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, likely because it was an away game.
Swift, who has been a regular at Chiefs’ home games, chose not to attend this away game in Pittsburgh. A Page Six source revealed earlier in the season that the singer avoids attending away games due to security concerns. She requires a thorough understanding of the venue and ensures it is properly secured before she will consider attending.
This is not the first time Swift has skipped an away game; she has consistently stayed away from games outside of Kansas City. However, Swift has made appearances at Arrowhead Stadium, where she’s comfortable with the security measures. Although Swift’s absence raised some eyebrows, it’s in line with her usual approach.
As for Travis Kelce, the Chiefs’ tight end and Swift’s boyfriend, he doesn’t seem troubled by her absence. Previously, during the New Heights podcast, Kelce expressed that he enjoys playing the game and cherishes every opportunity he gets to do so. He said, “I’ll play whenever, wherever. I just know that I’m so fortunate to be able to play this game that I’m gonna cherish every time I get to play on this field.”
Swift’s decision to miss this game is also consistent with her plans to enjoy a quieter holiday season. With her Eras Tour now behind her, Swift has been looking forward to spending time with family and friends.
