Major Update on Big E’s Role in WWE After The New Day Breakup

Big E has stayed out of the spotlight ever since his teammates from The New Day — WWE’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods — betrayed him. On the December 2 episode of WWE RAW, The New Day celebrated their ten-year anniversary, but the event took an unexpected turn.

Tensions between Kingston and Woods had been escalating, and Big E returned to try and restore peace. Instead, his efforts backfired as Kingston and Woods turned on him, accusing him of abandoning The New Day to prioritize his personal life. The shocking betrayal stunned fans and left Big E devastated. Despite Kingston and Woods reconciling their differences after targeting Big E, fans have refused to support them. They have booed both men out of arenas, rejecting their attempts to explain themselves.

On the latest episode of WWE RAW, Kingston and Woods shifted blame to commentators Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett, accusing them of biased coverage. Even Kingston’s mother, who attended the show, walked out when Kingston tried to embrace her.

The backlash hasn’t come only from fans. Several WWE Superstars have also condemned Kingston and Woods for their actions. Dominik Mysterio, who often faces heat from the crowd, even sided against them. While Kingston and Woods continue to justify their betrayal, Big E has remained silent. Amid this turmoil, WWE announced that Big E would be hosting an upcoming series on Netflix called RAW Classics.

WWE announces RAW Classics, a new series hosted by Big E

Ahead of WWE’s highly anticipated move to Netflix in 2025, the streaming giant has unveiled an exciting show for fans. According to PWInsider.com, the additions include The Road to WrestleMania 41 through RAW, WWE Superstar Profiles & Legends Profiles, and WWE Top 10: RAW Edition. The lineup further includes RAW Classics, a series hosted by Big E that will also feature CM Punk, Becky Lynch, and Triple H, highlighting some of the most unforgettable moments from RAW’s history.

This will mark the first time fans see Big E since The New Day turned on him. However, the release dates for these shows on Netflix have not yet been confirmed. It will be intriguing to see if Big E addresses The New Day’s shocking betrayal or chooses to remain silent on the matter after the show premieres.
