It Ends With Us Author Colleen Hoover Shows Support to Blake Lively

Colleen Hoover, the author behind It Ends with Us, has publicly shown her support for actor Blake Lively amid the ongoing legal drama with co-star and director Justin Baldoni. On December 21, Hoover took to Instagram to express her admiration for Lively, sharing a heartfelt message alongside a photo of the two.

Here are more details.

Colleen Hoover calls Blake Lively ‘honest’

Blake Lively has received public support from It Ends with Us author Colleen Hoover amid her ongoing lawsuit against co-star and director Justin Baldoni. On December 21, the same day Lively’s lawsuit became public, Hoover shared a heartfelt message on Instagram.

The author wrote, “@blakelively, you have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met. Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt.” The post accompanied a photo of Hoover and Lively sharing a hug at a screening of the film.

Lively’s lawsuit accuses Baldoni of sexual harassment during the production of the It Ends with Us film. According to the complaint, the alleged misconduct led to a meeting where Lively raised concerns about Baldoni and producer Jamey Heath’s behavior.

Subsequently, Lively made several requests to ensure a safe work environment. This includes asking for no unscripted kissing, no sexual comments, and no personal, physical touching by Baldoni or Heath without consent.

Additionally, Lively requested “no more adding of sex scenes, oral sex or on camera climaxing by [Lively] outside the scope of the script [Lively] approved when signing onto the project.” These requests were reportedly agreed upon by Baldoni and the production company, Wayfarer Studios (via PEOPLE).

The lawsuit reportedly includes evidence of texts and emails suggesting Baldoni’s crisis PR team allegedly planned to manipulate the public narrative by spreading negative stories about Lively. The actor claims these actions have caused her “grief, fear, trauma and extreme anxiety.”
