Why Fans Think Eden McCoy’s Josslyn Is Leaving General Hospital

Fans have begun to think that Eden McCoy, who portrays Josslyn Jacks, is leaving ABC soap opera General Hospital after Dex’s demise. Introduced in 2009, she has been romantically associated with several characters, with the most recent one being Dex Heller. However, his recent stabbing incident, followed by a cardiac arrest brought immense sorrow to her life. With his demise, fans believe that even Josslyn’s arc will come to a halt. But, is it true? Here are the details.

Is Eden McCoy’s Josslyn leaving General Hospital?

No, McCoy’s Josslyn isn’t leaving General Hospital. Instead, she has teased the direction her character is headed toward next.

The speculations about McCoy’s Josslyn stem from the untimely demise of her lover Dex Heller in General Hospital. Dex and Lauren were conducting their regular patrol when they came across a group of alcoholic footballers fighting. They approached them and tried to break their fight. While Lauren chased after the footballers, Dex went to the alley to empty the alcohol bottles.

He was unaware of a stranger standing behind him and didn’t even hear any footsteps approaching. In an unexpected turn of events, he got stabbed, following which he was immediately taken to the hospital. Initially, he appeared to be in recovery mode. But, when his girlfriend Josslyn and friend Anna Devane visited them, he suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and passed away. Following this, many believed that Josslyn’s arc might also end along with Dex’s departure from the show. However, this doesn’t appear to be the case, as McCoy has teased an upcoming big storyline for her character.

Though Josslyn is currently in a grieving condition, there is something big planned for her after Dex’s demise. In a conversation with Soap Opera Digest, she revealed that after learning about Dex’s unfortunate fate, she also discovered where her character is headed next and found the storyline to be “nice.”

“It was kind of a silver lining, because I could see where we’re going with this, and I think [what the show has planned for Josslyn] is going to be really tough and challenging, but also super-cool and important and a story I will love doing,” she added.
