A new video for Disney’s upcoming live-action Lilo & Stitch remake has been released.
The animated version of Lilo & Stitch, which was written and directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois, was released in 2002. It spawned a franchise that led to three direct-to-video sequels and a number of television series.
Disney is now making a live-action/CGI remake of Lilo & Stitch, which is directed by Dean Fleischer Camp. The film is scheduled to be released in May 2025.
The new Lilo & Stitch video is an homage to The Lion King, as it opens with footage of giraffes and zebras running through the African savanna. Rather than Simba being lifted up, however, it’s Stich, who is enjoying a chaotic day at the beach.
