Taylor Swift comments on Brock Purdy’s game
Taylor Swift opened up about the 2024 Super Bowl while signing autographs for the admitted kids in the aforementioned hospital. There, Swift was questioned if she was referring to Purdy in her hit single, “Paper Rings.”
In reply, Swift said, “I don’t mind Brock Purdy. He put me through a lot last February. I was very stressed for a second,” as per FOX News. Interestingly, the veteran artist released “Paper Rings” in 2019 as part of the “Lover” album. At the time, Purdy was stationed at Iowa State, only joining the San Francisco 49ers in 2022.
Swift was notably present in the crowd during the LVIII Super Bowl to cheer for her longtime partner, Travis Kelce. The tight end played a pivotal role in the Kansas City Chiefs’ success in the competition, helping his side clinch the fourth Super Bowl title in their history.
However, Purdy made sure that victory did not come easily to the Chiefs. To put further context on Swift’s comments, Purdy went 23-of-38 passing for 255 yards while also providing a touchdown pass for Jauan Jennings in the said game. His efforts forced the two sides to enter overtime, where the Chiefs eventually ran out 25-22 victors.
Despite struggling with consistent injuries, Purdy has continued his fine form this season. The 24-year-old quarterback has recorded 3,174 passing yards and 15 touchdown passes in 13 games so far.
