Who Is Tabu’s Sister Francesca in Dune: Prophecy? Ties With Corrino Explained

Viewers are curious to know who sister Francesca, portrayed by Indian actor Tabu, is in Dune: Prophecy. She appeared in Episode 5, “In Blood, Truth,” and is a part of Sisterhood, whose return to the palace disrupts order and power in Coronith City. Moreover, she also appears to have a connection to Emperor Javicco Corrino.

So, who is she, and how is she related to the Emperor? Here are the details.

Sister Francesca is a Bene Gesserit and a former lover to Emperor Javicco Corrino in Dune: Prophecy.

Emperor Javicco Corrino falls for Sister Francesca when he began losing trust in his wife, Sister Natalya due to her contribution to strengthening the Sisterhood. Earlier, their marriage went smoothly, given she leveraged her house’s power to unite the Imperium with him.

However, when Corrino witnessed Natalya’s consistent efforts to make Sisterhood powerful, it didn’t sit well with him, causing a crack in their relationship. After becoming distant from his wife, he began developing feelings for Sister Francesca. Their connection ultimately led to an intimate affair, which led to the birth of their son, Constantine. Nonetheless, he served as a major part of Sisterhood’s plan as well.

The Sisterhood plans to secure the throne through Princess Ynez and leverage Constantine for her protection. Although Francesca is the emperor’s former lover, she is dedicated to the Sisterhood too, participating with them in earning his trust back. Episode 5 witnessed the return of Francesca, who shakens the power in the city with her arrival.

Her return leads to her and the emperor ultimately restoring their relations upon seeing their son doing a proud job. Constantine successfully gets hold of the traitor Keiran Atreides, who goes against the house, betraying their trust.
