A24 has released the first poster for Warfare.
Warfare is a new A24 war film written and directed by Ray Mendoza and Alex Garland. Mendoza, who is a veteran, previously served as the military supervisor on 2024’s Civil War, which was directed by Garland and was also released through A24.

What do we know about the A24 Warfare movie?
Warfare stars Charles Melton, Joseph Quinn, Kit Connor, Cosmo Jarvis, Will Poulter, Finn Bennett, Noah Centineo, Taylor John Smith, Adain Bradley, Michael Gandolfini, Henrique Zaga, and Evan Holtzman.
Additionally, it has been revealed, per Deadline, that Reservation Dogs’ D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai will play Mendoza in the film.
“Mendoza joined the Navy in 1997 and served for over 16 years as a Member of Seal Team 5 and a Land Warfare Training Detachment and BUD/s instructor,” Deadline’s article reads. “He was awarded a Silver Star ‘for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action against the enemy while serving as Lead Communicator, Naval Special Warfare Task Unit-Ramadi, in direct support of Operation Iraqi Freedom on November 19, 2006,’ according to Military Times. He co-founded War Office Producers alongside retired Army Ranger Jariko Denman.”
Plot details for Warfare remain under wraps at this time; although, A24 has announced that a trailer for Warfare will be released on Monday, December 16, 2024.
In addition to Civil War, Garland is known for helming 2014’s Ex Machina, 2018’s Annihilation, and 2022’s Men. He served as an uncredited director on 2012’s Dredd and has also worked on the scripts for 2002’s 28 Days Later, 2007’s Sunshine, 2010’s Never Let Me Go, and the forthcoming 28 Years Later sequel, which will be released in 2025.
While an exact release date has not yet been announced, Warfare arrives in 2025 from A24.
