Following the theatrical release of Universal Pictures’ horror comedy Abigail, the Radio Silence team found their next project in the form of the thriller Loser, and they have officially enlisted the first four cast members who will lead the project.
“Loser follows Alice, a brilliant but troubled physicist, as she attempts to heal her trauma by using time travel, but gets caught in a twisty, cat-and-mouse game of murder and violence in New York City,” reads the initial synopsis.
Who is in the Loser cast?
Ella Purnell (Arcane, Fallout), Lukas Gage (Smile 2), Angourie Rice (Mean Girls), and Finn Bennett (True Detective: Night Country) have been tapped to join the cast of Loser, which will be produced by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett and Chad Villella of Radio Silence (Ready or Not, Scream 6, Abigail). At the moment, it currently has no release date and production start date yet.
Loser will written and directed by Colleen McGuinness, who will also be producing the project. The film is based on the award-winning short by McGuinness, which also starred Rice. The Spider-Man: Far From Home alum will be reprising her role as Alice from the short in the upcoming feature-length movie, with director of photography Nate Hurtsellers also returning.
Purnell was most recently seen in the dark comedy series Sweetpea, which will be returning for a second season. She also voiced Jinx/Powder for the final time in Netflix’s Arcane Season 2. Besides Sweetpea Season 2, she’s also set to reprise her role as Lucy MacLean in the next installment of Prime Video’s Fallout series.
