Oscar nominee Brian Tyree Henry has entered final negotiations to star in Warner Bros. Pictures’ upcoming Panic Carefully movie. Production on the paranoid thriller is expected to begin in January 2025 in England.
Henry will next be seen in Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming biographical sports drama The Fire Inside, which will chronicle the life of professional boxer Claressa Shields. He is also attached to star in a few other projects, including the comedy-drama movie Last Night at the Lobster with Elisabeth Moss, the musical drama Golden with Janelle Monae, and the Apple TV+ drama series Dope Thief with Wagner Moura.
Who is involved in the Panic Carefully movie?
Besides Henry, Panic Carefully will also star Oscar winner Julia Roberts, WandaVision alum Elizabeth Olsen, and The Day of the Jackal’s Eddie Redmayne. Further details about their characters are still being kept under wraps. The show reunites Roberts with Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail after previously working together in Netflix’s apocalyptic drama movie Leave the World Behind. Warner Bros. won the rights to the project after an intense bidding war.
The film will be written and directed by Esmail. The project will reportedly center around the hunt for a cyber-terrorist. It is also being described as a paranoid thriller with tonal influences from 1991’s Silence of the Lambs. The film is produced by Esmail, Chad Hamilton, Scott Stuber, Roberts, Marisa Yeres Gill, and Lisa Gillan, with Kevin McCormick and Chrystal Li tap to oversee the movie on behalf of the studio.
