50 Cent Reveals Alleged Drake ‘Opp List’ Featuring Jay-Z, Kanye West & More

Curious about 50 Cent’s take on Drake’s ongoing rap battles? The legendary G-Unit rapper recently weighed in on the controversy surrounding Drake’s alleged “Opp List” and the ongoing tensions with Kendrick Lamar. His insights shed light on the dynamics of Drake’s dominance and the challenges he faces in the industry.

Here’s what you need to know about 50 Cent’s comments, Drake’s strategic moves, and how it all ties into the current state of hip-hop.

What did 50 Cent say about Drake’s ‘Opp list’?

50 Cent recently commented on Drake’s controversial “Opp List” during an interview on Big Boy’s Neighborhood.

The list, originating from a fan account in 2023, allegedly contains names of Drake’s perceived adversaries, including Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, Kanye West, LeBron James, and DeMar DeRozan. Referring to the list during his appearance on BigBoyTV, 50 Cent explained, “This is the opp page. He was just winning consistently more than everybody else in the culture, and then these people start to turn into people that feel like they’re opps.”

The G-Unit rapper elaborated that Drake’s continuous success led to opposition in the hip-hop community. According to 50 Cent, such resistance is a natural part of the industry when someone dominates for an extended period. “They keep watching him win. Then you going, ‘I want this thing forever, man.’ I’m not sure you can have it forever,” he remarked.

In an earlier October interview with Billboard, 50 Cent provided additional context to the situation. He defended Drake, stating, “I didn’t see where what [Drake] did was wack at any point… When you win consecutively, that part of the hip-hop demographic wants you out of there.” Comparing it to his experience with his Curtis album, 50 Cent highlighted the pressure from the industry when artists achieve sustained success.

During the interview, 50 Cent also revealed that Drake had more diss tracks prepared for Kendrick Lamar. He noted that after Lamar didn’t respond to Drake’s tracks “The Heart Part 6” and “Not Like Us,” Drake chose not to release additional material. “Drake was loaded ready to go again… There’s no way you stop and you losing? Nah, I gotta fix it,” 50 Cent said.
