Yellowstone Star Luke Grimes Reveals ‘Heartbreaking’ Reaction to Series Finale Script

Yellowstone star Luke Grimes opened up about the highly-anticipated series finale of Paramount Network‘s hit western drama, which will air on December 15, 2024. In the series, Grimes plays the role of Kayce Dutton, the youngest son of Kevin Costner’s John Dutton.

What did Yellowstone star Luke Grimes say about the series finale?

During a recent interview, Grimes admitted that he kept putting off reading the script for the series finale episode of Yellowstone until it was the time for him to do it.

“I mean, it’s the end — the end-end,” Grimes said (via TVLine). “I had no idea how the show was going to [wrap up], and I wanted to save reading that episode for the very last second.”

When it was finally time to read, Grimes revealed he had a very emotional reaction to it. He assured fans they won’t be disappointed with how the show ends.

“I was a mess,” he continued. “It’s beautiful. It’s profound. It’s heartbreaking. They [viewers] won’t feel like they’ve wasted their time for the past six years.”

Yellowstone is created and executive produced by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson. The series currently stars Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Jefferson White, Forrie Smith, Denim Richards, Ian Bohen, Finn Little, Ryan Bingham, Gil Birmingham, Jen Landon, and Kathryn Kelly.
