In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Cody Rhodes spoke about his upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event opponent, Kevin Owens, and the tension between them. Rhodes shared that he began wearing suits regularly around 2015.
Rhodes mentioned some within the wrestling industry, including Owens, have been notably frustrated by his fashion choices. He speculated that Owens’ issue with his suits may be tied to deeper insecurities.
He stated, “But no one has been more frustrated and upset with the fact that I wear suits than Kevin Owens. So make your own assumptions there as to what that means. That is my opponent for Saturday Night’s Main Event.”

It also seems Owens gave a subtle nod to John Cena, a figure whom Cody Rhodes admires. The jabs between the two are likely to continue as they are scheduled to face off at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14, 2024.
