Big Boom AJ made headlines with his match against QT Marshall at AEW Full Gear 2024, held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. AJ, from the Costco Guys, faced QT Marshall on the Zero Hour pre-show, with Big Justice and The Rizzler by his side.
Big Boom AJ secured the pinfall victory over QT Marshall, thrilling the crowd after Big Justice hit Marshall with a spear. AJ followed up with his Powerboom finisher for the win. After his big win over QT Marshall, the former discussed his future in professional wrestling.
On AEW Full Gear 2024 post-show media scrum, he shared, “I think I am having a lot of fun where I am right now. I’m really loving everything Big Justice and I have an opportunity to do. We talk about some of the creators that we’ve been with. We’ve had an opportunity to meet Mr. Beast. We’ve had an opportunity to meet some of the biggest creators in the world.”
He continued, “Work with Costco. Work with some of the greatest brands in the world. Stay in contact with our audience. There is a lot we’re doing right now. I don’t think a champion run is in my future. That is a lot of dedication that I’m not sure I have right now. To be here at AEW and wrestle multiple times throughout the year and see where that goes, that’s kind of more the direction I’m leaning.”
While AJ sees himself continuing in wrestling, AEW President Tony Khan has also shared his thoughts on the possibility of AJ returning to the promotion.
