A former WWE star is eyeing a match with former Intercontinental Champion Ricochet in AEW. Ricochet left WWE in the summer and made his way to All Elite Wrestling.
The high-flyer had his final run with none other than Bron Breakker. Ricochet, who decided not to renew his contract with WWE, faced Breakker in his final days with the promotion. To write him off the television, the storyline featured Bron Breakker repeatedly attacking him.
On the June 10th episode of RAW, Bron Breakker slammed him onto production trucks and power-slammed him onto a car. After the brutal attack, he was carried out on a stretcher, effectively writing him off the programming. After leaving the promotion, he debuted at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium in London in August.
Since his arrival in AEW, Ricochet has delivered great back-to-back matches with stars like Will Ospreay, Sammy Guevara, Nick Wayne, and more. The high-flyer is currently having the time of his life in Tony Khan’s promotion, showcasing his true potential.
Fans still remember his rivalry with former NXT champion Adam Cole to this day. Recently, Adam Cole talked about facing Ricochet, now that both men are in the same promotion.
Adam Cole calls for showdown with Ricochet in AEW
Adam Cole, who once served as the face of WWE NXT, made a significant impact on the brand in his four years. During his time in WWE’s black-and-gold brand, Cole captured multiple titles and engaged in numerous memorable rivalries, with his feud against Ricochet standing out.
In a recent interview with 3NT Wrestling, Cole shared his excitement about the possibility of facing Ricochet in AEW. He stated, “I would love it too (another match against Ricochet). Again, Ricochet is one of my favorite opponents. He’s a superhero. He’s just unbelievable; the things that he can do. So I’m so excited that he’s here in AEW and I don’t see any reason why at some point down the line, we can’t do Adam Cole versus Ricochet two in AEW now.”
It seems that it would be a matter of time before both Adam Cole and Ricochet face off in the ring as both are currently in the same promotion.
